Magdalena is a FULL PERUVIAN, 7/8 ACCOYO, Torbio daughter. On her dam's side she has Uribe and 4Peruvian Miguel as grandparents, giving her a nice combination of accoyo genetics. Magdalena is another example of the quality offspring Magnificent (her dam) produces for us at Suri Peaks. Magnificent consistently stamps her crias with beautiful bearded suri heads. Magdalena's sire, Torbio, is also known for producing crias with typey suri heads. Magdalena has inherited this beautiful typey suri head just like her full brother Accoyo Orbit. She also has lustrous fleece with a very nice lock style just like her Color Champion brother, Orbit.
Magdalena is a tall and big boned female. At 4 1/2 months old she weighed 83 pounds. Conformationaly, Magdalena is excellent, and she has a perfect bite. She is a sweet girl to work with, just like her dam. With a natural show presence about her, I expect her to do well on the show circuit in 2007.
Magdalena had her first cria, a beautiful white female. We have named her SPAR's MacLuster's Ginger Mist. Magdalena is being rebred to MacLuster for a Fall 2009 cria.

A product of a 3 TIME CHAMPION DAM and a 2 TIME CHAMPION SIRE, SPAR's She's Something Else is just what her name says - something else. Fondly known as Elsie, this gal has awesome luster along with all the other attributes of a fine Suri. No wonder when you consider her bloodlines. Her grandsire is the all time champion, Macgyver on her sire's side, and on her dam's side her grandsire is Fine Threads Jax. Elsie herself is now a 4 time champion, winning her most recent Color Championship at the 2009 Great Western Alpaca Show in Denver. A level 5 show, GWAS was the largest show in the country for 2009. Elsie won Color Champion over some of the best suris in the country.

LUSTER, LUSTER, LUSTER!!! This girl is so lustrous that she shines even when she is inside the barn in low lighting. It was mostly for her luster that I added Maxi to the foundation herd, but she surely has all the other qualities of a good suri female - beautiful locking throughout her blanket, perfect conformation and an excellent bite. An easy gal to work with, Maxi proved to be an excellent mom when she had her first cria March 2005.
Maxi had an impressive show career, winning 2 Championships and 2 blue ribbons. Maxi's first offspring, SPAR's Dynamite, has followed in his dam's foot steps winning a Color Championship at GWAS 2006 in Denver.
Maxi has had 4 females for us since Dynamite. They have all been show quality females.
Maxi's 1st daughter, SPAR's MacLuster's Maxine, had a good show career and went on to produce a champion daughter, SPAR's Honey Bee.
Maxi's 2nd daughter, SPAR's Spirit of Madriene is our record setting alpaca at Suri peak's having won 11 Championships in her show career! We look for Maddie to follow in her dam's footsteps producing champions.
Maxi's 2010 cria is a light fawn male out of MacLuster. He has all the looks of being a winner. We have named him SPAR's MacLuster's Reflector.

Ni-Coal-ette, fondly known as Letti, is a beautiful true black Suri with all the attributes of a show winner. The first thing about her that catches your attention is her beautiful, typey head. Add to that her stricking luster and flowing little pencil locks across her body and you can not go wrong with this girl. She has excellent conformation, a perfect bite and a presence about her that will make her successful in the show ring. With Coal Man as her sire and a black grandsire on her dam's side, Letti has every potential to produce black or deep colors. No doubt, she would bring quality and color to any breeding program. Her full brother, Bongo Billy, has been doing well in the show ring. He was Reserve Champion at MOPACA 2008.
Letti was shorn in June 2009, and her fleece regrowth is coming back in with some grey, especially on her legs and tail.
She has been bred to Suri Peak's Zakar for a summer 2010 cria. We are excited about this breeding and the possibility of a true black or dark silver grey cria.

Another beautiful dark colored female out of Suri Peak's Coal Man. Natalie Coal is a rich dark brown color with black highlights on her ears and muzzle and also around her eyes. Natalie Coal is the full sister to SPAR's Ni-Coal, the high selling suri in the 2008 AOBA auction and the 2008 Futurity black female Color Champion. Nattie is showing real promise. She has beautiful luster and little pencil locks flowing through out her fleece. Like her sister Ni-Coal, she is a good sized girl with good substance of bone. Natalie Coal's conformation is excellent and she has a perfect bite.
I am so pleased with Natalie that her dam, Carmel Cotton, is rebred to Suri Peak's Coal Man once again for a 2009 cria. That cria arrived at the end of April - another beautiful true black female, Carmel's third female in a row. See SPAR's Coal Man's Poppy Seed.

Brown Eye Girl is FULL PERUVIAN and has grey in her background on both her dam and sire's side. TWO generations of grey on her sire's side and THREE generations of grey on her dam's side. Her great grandsire is the well known Magnifico. No doubt, this gal has the grey genetics to produce grey. With her excellent luster, wonderful fineness to her fleece and good lock structure, she will produce grey with exceptional fleece quality. She has inherited one blue eye, a trait that can show up when breeding grey alpacas, and probably is indicative of her being even more capable of producing grey offspring. Brownie has excellent conformation with a presence about her that turns heads as she struts about the pasture. Her bite is perfect. I feel she is a little gem just waiting to reveal her grey genetics in her offspring.

Marbelita is a real head-turner; everyone who visits picks her out of the herd right away. She has gorgeous fancy markings.
Marbelita has proven herself to be a great mom. She has had no birthing issues, is a good milk producer and is very attentive to her crias. Marbelita also breeds back easily, usually on the first breeding. A proven foundation female at Suri Peak's, Marbelita has produced fawn, multi and true black - no all white crias to date. If you are looking to add color to your program, with out compromising on quality, Marbelita would be a good addition to your herd.
Marbelita has produced champion offspring for us over the years. Her daughter, SPAR's Glitterbug, was a 2X Color Champion. SPAR's Bongo Billy is her champion true black son.

A full Peruvian, 3/4 Accoyo, proven mom, out of the Uribe/Durazno line, Magnificent(aka Maggie)is a tall, stretchy suri with good bone substance. She has a very typey suri head and fleece that is incredibly lustrous with tightly twisted locks throughout her blanket and down her neck. Her lock quality is evident from the locks of her top knott right down to the wonderful locky fleece coverage on her legs. Magnificent is by no doubt one of my best production females. It would be difficult to replace such a female that has proven what quality offspring she can produce. Magnificent will continue to be foundation stock at Suri Peaks.
Magnificent's daughter, Cotton Blossom was never shown, but has proved her ability to produce champion offspring like her dam. Cotton Blossom has given us 4 champions.
Magnificent is the dam of our Color Champion Herdsire, SPAR's Accoyo Orbit. Orbit is going on to produce champions like Locks-A-Rolo and SPAR's Honey Bee.
SPAR's Torbio's Magdalena is Magnificent's 4th offspring. Magdalena, like her full brother, Orbit, is continuing the champion bloodline of their dam, Magnificent. SPAR's MacLuster's Ginger Mist, Magdalena's first daughter is now a 3X champion.
Magnificent's most recent champion offspring is SPAR's MacLuster's Magic Man, who is now a 5X champion. He also proved to us that Magnificent can produce color. Magic is medium brown.

Fedora is a rich mahogany color with STRIKING LUSTER for a deeply colored suri. Her fleece is fine with a micron of 22.6 and has a wonderful hand. Her locks are to the skin and very uniform throughout her fleece. Fedora's sire is Fine Threads Jax, a black herdsire owned by Alpaca Jack's Suri Farm. Fedora has inherited her sire's black coloring as seen on her black ears, muzzle and lower legs. On her dam's side, Fedora comes from a long line of well known Acero Marka offspring. Her grandsire is Ameripaca's well known herdsire Harry Brown. Fedora has a perfect bite and flawless conformation.
A 3 time Champion herself, Fedora was bred to our 2 time Champion herdsire and Macgyver son, MacLuster. Together they produced a multi champion female. See SPAR's She's Something Else, a 4X Champion.
Fedora had her second cria, SPAR's Count It All Joy, sired by Suri Peak's Coal Man. She is true black and beautiful! Joy has now won 5 championships and is owned by Pines Edge Suri Alpacas.

Carmel Cotton arrived dripping with LUSTER and her LUSTER just seems to get better with time. Her fleece has a nice fineness, and her locks are tight and to the skin with a nice twist at the ends. Carmel inherited her very typey, bearded suri head from both her dam and her sire who have beautiful suri heads. Carmel is a tall and big boned gal with a flawless conformation and bite.
Carmel Cotton is 1/2 accoyo and is out of one of our best foundation females. A Macgyver grandaughter, she is a combination of some of the best accoyo bloodlines in this country: Bruxo, Durazno, and Accoyo Caesar. Carmel Cotton is the type of alpaca we are striving for in our breeding program. She began her show career at the young age of 6 1/2 months taking a blue ribbon and Reserve Color Championship. The judges have referred to her as the "complete package" more than once now.
Carmel's first cria out of Suri Peak's Coal Man is SPAR's Ni-Coal, a gorgeous true black female. We could not be happier with her arrival. She's a show girl and to date has won 3 championships.

GLR Atacama is a 3 time Champion that comes from a pedigree loaded with champions on both sides of her lineage. Her sire is Sierra Bonita's MacGyver's Synergy, a multi-champion herdsire. Her dam, GLR Amelita was the 2004 AAA Futurity Grey Champion. It doesn't stop there - Atacama has two full brothers, GLR Coyhaique and GLR Kolaqua, that are multi champions also. GLR Coyhaique was the 2007 Futurity and AOBA Nationals grey color champion. GLR KOlaqua was grey color champion at the 2008 MAPACA show as well as the 2008 and 2009 AOBA Nationals.

What a surprise the color of this young man was! His dam has never produced color, even when bred to color. She has had 5 white crias prior to Magic Man. May be MacLuster did work some "magic" on Magnificent to produce a light brown cria. Whatever, I am pleased with the outcome and Magnificent will be rebred to MacLuster for a 2009 cria. Magic Man is showing beautiful luster with a fine fleece that has good lock definition.
MacLuster and Magnificent both stamp their crias with beautiful suri heads, and Magic Man looks as though he will have one of the nicest yet. Magic Man is 3/4 Peruvian and 1/2 Accoyo, and has impressive bloodlines in his background - Bruxo, MacGyver, Miquel and Uribe.

This pinto gal is very showy. Her fleece exhibits hues of charcoal gray which continue to develop with her increasing age. This can be attributed to her sire, a fancy with grey in his color pattern. A stunning 7/8 accoyo Torbio son with exceptional LUSTER. Orbit's locks are tight with a nice twist and go right to the skin. This boy has very good density and excellent coverage. Orbit has a uniform fleece that is fine with a micron of 19.8. Orbit was shorn for the first time in June 2006 and his fleece is growing back incredibly lustrous and locked right to the shin. He looks great shorn!
There are no faults to be found with Orbit's perfect conformation and bite either. Orbit's head is one of the most TYPEY SURI HEADs I have ever seen. Orbit is out of the well known Durazno/Uribe line on his dam's side and has Torbio as his sire. With this wonderful combination of genetics in his background, we expect this young male to sire some awesome crias. We look forward to adding him to our breeding program.

Cinnamon Swirl is a flashy pinto gal. She is the color of cinnamon accented by patches of white, topped off with a black muzzle and ears. Her fiber is truly a swirl of color. Her locks are tight and go right to the skin and have a nice twist. Cinnamon's locking is uniform throughout her fleece. Cinnamon has very nice luster and her fleece is fine like her dam's with a wonderful hand. She also has the sweet personality of her dam, Senatt, one of our favorite females in the herd.
Cinnamon has all the criteria we look for in a show quality suri - excellent conformatiopn, a perfect bite, luster with tight locking, and show presence to top it off. I look forward to showing this flashy little gal.
Cinnamon didn't let me down! She just got her first blue ribbon at the 2006 GWAS in Denver. She was the youngest in her class at this very competitve level 5 show. A rare find!.... a dark rose grey, bred suri female! Her markings are gorgeous, with a rose topline and grey sides and neck, plus some white facial fleece. Rosebud has a fine fleece for a grey alpaca with a micron of just 19.6!
Rosebud's firt cria, Desert Rose, had hints of grey on her top knott and a fine fleece with a micron of 17.7, beautiful luster and locking. Now, if only Rosebud could reproduce that beautiful grey color of hers. Well, this year she showed me she could when she had a beautiful dark rose grey female, SPAR's Gene's Girl. Precious is Coal Man's long awaited first cria, and she was by far worth the wait. The combination of the Macgyver bloodline with Coal Man's genetics has given excellent results. Precious is a beautiful medium fawn color, carrying all the dark genetics of her sire, yet maintaining a fleece that is very lustrous and soft. Independece of lock can be seen throughout her fleece that is very dense, just like her sire's. Conformationally, Precious has no faults, and she also has a perfect bite.
Precious One could have not been a better name for her, because she is one of the sweetest crias that has been born at Suri Peaks. I attribute this to both her dam and sire who are very even tempered alpacas.
Precious will make her debut in the show ring in the Spring of 2007.

A full Peruvian, 1/3 Accoyo son of the well known Snowmass Silken Gold. Breedings to Silken Gold cost $5,000 and are limited. Sir Silken exhibits all the qualities it takes to be a winner in the show ring. He has wonderful luster, with tight locks flowing uniformly throughout his blanket and down his neck. Sir has excellent conformation with exceptionally good leg coverage down to his toes on both front and rear legs. His bite is perfect. My favorite thing about Sir is his beautiful suri head. He has a short muzzle, fleecy cheeks and a nice suri beard. Sir's dam has this same beautiful head, as well as all of her offspring. Bongo Billy displays all the attributes of his sire, Suri Peaks Coal Man. He is absolutely "coal black" and very lustrous. His fleece definitely has that greasy look and feel to it that we suri breeders strive toward achieving in our breeding programs. Bongo's locking is tight with his locks going right to the skin. I have never seen such good lock formation on a black alpaca before. Conformationally, he is flawless, and also has a perfect bite. Bongo has his sire's nice head, too - fleecy cheeks with a short muzzle, and that desirable suri beard starting to appear.
Bongo Billy's dam, Black Magic's Marbelita was a show winner, and has also produced show winning offspring. SPAR's Glitterbug, one of her female offspring has 2 color championships to her credit. SPAR's Aspenglow and Suri Peak's Marbel, two of Marbelita's sons, are both blue ribbon winners. Bongo Billy has everything it takes to be a show ribbon winner. His first show will be the AOBA Nationals. A tough show to start out with, but he's got what it takes to be competitive.

Buster Brown is a rich mahogany color with black highlights on his ears, muzzle and lower legs. He shines like no Buster Brown shoes I ever had as a child. No polishing needed here - this guy has natural polish galore. We Suri breeders refer to it as LUSTER, and Buster has plenty of it! Buster has excellent locking also. His locks have a nice little wave and go right to the skin. Conformationally speaking, Buster has no faults. He stands straight and tall with natural show presence. He has a perfect bite to match his excellent conformation, and with a birth weight of 21 pounds, Buster is growing into a good sized male.
I love his mellow disposition. Just like his dam and sire, he is a nice alpaca to work with.
At his first show as a juvenile, Buster won 1st Place and Color Champion. Way to go Buster!

She has excellent lock structure throughout her fleece as well.
Conformationally, Coal-lette is well portioned and correct in her stance. Her bite is perfect. Coal-lette already has a show presence about her even at a young age. She struts around the pasture as if she knows it, too.

The arrival of this little gal was a "joy" to say the least. I have been waiting to see the results of breeding Suri Peak's Coal Man to Fedora, a Fine Threads Jax daughter that I purchased a few years ago specifically to breed to Coal Man. Joy is just what I was hoping for - a true black female with superior fleece qualities. She is "coal" black with high luster and beautiful locking.
She has that nice typey suri head that Coal Man stamps his crias with. Joy is the product of a 3 time champion dam, and has inherited her dam's awesome luster. Joy's conformation is excellent and her bite correct. I see all the potential for her to do well in the show ring next year.
